The Founding Fathers of Bulgaria is a huge monument in Shumen that commemorates the first Bulgarian Empire, an ever present reminder of the proud past.
Below me was Buzludzha, the ex-communist headquarters in Bulgaria. As in 70 metres below. I was risking life and limb to take one of the most dangerous selfies.
Plovdiv is Europe’s oldest city and it is perfect for walking around with a camera in hand. Hopefully I have captured some of its beauty in this photo essay.
